Reflections
on
Transformation through Eco-Philosophy
By Juanita
Skolimowski
The unfolding of Eco-Philosophy represents a
significant shift in both understanding and living upon the Earth. In
the last 15 years I have been involved in supporting and witnessing
its continual enfoldment and transcendence.
The articulation of this new philosophy is based on
wholeness and responsibility for living on and with the Earth and all
its beings. It took many years to unfold because the shift of
awareness from a materialistic civilization to a spiritual/ecological
civilization necessitates new levels of understanding. After 20 years
of Henryk Skolimowski sharing and articulating Eco-Philosophy there
came a growing acceptance of it as a new field and many others began
to formulate variations of its scope. The application and consequence
of the Eco-Philosophy world view is being carried on by others. This
is a necessary complement to Eco-Philosophy: the seeing and the
being.
The past 10 years have been intense and significant
for Eco-Philosophy because it has become a philosophy of
transcendence. Once the new wider vision was clarified, a deeper
understanding and new perspectives were consequently articulated such
as the Participatory Mind, Spiritual Ecology and
Spiritual Politics. In a parallel way, a transcendent
process has been happening in Physics from Classical Physics to the
New Physics.
More recently a new understanding of Cosmos is
being articulated. Viewed from the perspective of Cosmos and Light,
the reading of the nature and transcendence of Light can be
embraced and known for the well being of all beings.
This is a work in process. Henryk Skolimowski’s
book “Light, Creativity, and the Divinity of Being” is now
completed and waiting to be published. The further articulation and
consequence of this work is exciting, revelatory, and breath taking.
Personally what I find astonishing is to witness
how the luminosity of this transcendent philosophy brings the light of
awareness to people literally. I have witnessed this so many times
that it is manifest to me. In this observation I see how the light of
consciousness can bring transcendence to consciousness.
The responsibility for transformation of light
through us is our task at hand. Let us bring this on in truth,
goodness and beauty- the vessel so beautifully articulated by Plato.
May the vessel be filled with the Light of transcendence.
